Appraveo Acceptable Use Policy
Effective Date: April 7, 2026 Last Updated: April 7, 2026 Governing Law: State of Maryland, United States
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the terms under which licensed real estate appraisers may access and use Appraveo's platform, products, and Services — including NarrativeAI, Academy, Intel, Sites, Check, and CRM.
Appraveo is built for appraisers, by people who understand the profession. This AUP exists because appraisers operate under a specific, non-negotiable professional framework — USPAP (2024 Edition, effective January 1, 2024, open-ended), state licensing law, and federal statutes — and our tools must be used in ways that support that framework, not undermine it.
This AUP is incorporated by reference into Appraveo's Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP constitutes a violation of your Terms of Service agreement.
2. Who This Policy Applies To
This AUP applies to every individual who accesses any Appraveo product, including licensed appraisers with active accounts, authorized users within a firm or team account, and any individual accessing Appraveo Services through a trial, promotional, or sponsored account.
All users must be licensed real estate appraisers in good standing in at least one U.S. state, or be enrolled in a licensed training program under a supervising appraiser.

- Generate multiple draft variations to compare approaches
- Save and organize draft content within your account
3.2 Academy
- Access courses and training materials for professional development
- Download or save completion certificates for your records
3.3 Intel
- Enter and track your own AMC relationships, fee history, and assignment characteristics

4. Prohibited Uses
4.1 Submission of AI Output Without Independent Professional Review
You may not submit AI-generated content as part of a signed appraisal report without independently reading and reviewing every word, verifying factual accuracy, exercising your professional judgment, and modifying content where it does not accurately represent your work.
4.2 Input of USPAP-Confidential Information
You may not enter client names, borrower personal identifiers, loan/case numbers, value conclusions for active assignments, or any information designated as confidential by your client into any Appraveo product without client-specific written authorization.
4.3 Misrepresentation of Analysis, Methodology, or Conclusions
You may not use Appraveo output to misrepresent the analytical methodology you employed, imply you performed analysis you did not perform, or present AI-generated narrative as reflecting personal judgment you have not independently formed.
4.4 Use Beyond Your Competency
You may not use Appraveo to produce content for property types, geographic markets, or intended uses for which you are not competent under USPAP's Competency Rule.
4.5 Sharing Credentials with Unlicensed Individuals
You may not share your Appraveo account credentials with any individual who is not a licensed real estate appraiser in good standing.
4.6 Producing Work for Others to Sign
You may not use Appraveo to produce appraisal content for a report that will be signed by another appraiser as their own work product, unless you are functioning as a disclosed co-signer on the same report.
4.7 Reverse Engineering, Extraction, and Unauthorized Access
You may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract Appraveo's AI models, prompt templates, system instructions, or training methodologies. You may not use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to extract data at scale.
4.8 Misrepresentation of Appraveo as a Compliance Tool
You may not represent Appraveo as a USPAP-compliant tool, GSE-approved software, or a tool that satisfies any regulatory compliance requirement on its own.
4.9 RESPA Violations via Sites or CRM
You may not use Sites or CRM to offer, accept, or facilitate referral fees or kickbacks in violation of RESPA Section 8.
4.10 Manipulating AI Output Toward a Predetermined Conclusion
You may not use NarrativeAI to generate narrative language that supports a value conclusion before your analysis is complete or to produce language justifying a specific value you have been pressured to hit.
5. USPAP Compliance Responsibility
5.1 You Are the Appraiser
Appraveo is a technology tool. You are the licensed professional. The use of any Appraveo product does not shift your professional obligations under USPAP 2024 Edition, state licensing law, or any other applicable standard to Appraveo.
5.2 Certification Covers Everything You Sign
When you sign an appraisal report under USPAP 2024 Edition Standards Rule 2-2, your certification covers the entire report — including any content that originated as AI-generated output. If you are not prepared to certify the content, do not include it.
5.3 Appraveo Does Not Satisfy Competency or Scope of Work Requirements
Using Appraveo does not demonstrate competency to complete an assignment under the USPAP 2024 Edition Competency Rule. It does not replace the analysis, research, or professional judgment required to develop credible assignment results.
6. Professional License Responsibility
You are responsible for knowing and following your state board's current guidance on AI tool use, disclosing AI tool use if required, maintaining your license in good standing, and notifying Appraveo if your license is revoked, surrendered, or suspended.
7. Data Input Responsibility
You are responsible for the data you input into Appraveo Services. You are responsible for not entering USPAP-confidential information into products not designed to hold it.
8. Reporting Violations
If you observe potential AUP violations, report them to compliance@valuwolf.com with "AUP Violation Report" in the subject line. Reports may be made anonymously.
